Due to the building’s close proximity to beach, the harsh marine environment and high chloride nature of the ground, specialist concrete waterproofing solutions were required to protect the asset from concrete deterioration. To meet these requirements, Xypex Thailand specified Xypex Concentrate to protect the underground car park from carbonation and chloride attack. Further to the underground car park, the water tanks, wastewater tanks and swimming pool were also treated with Xypex Concentrate. 

In addition to the Xypex Coating system, Superswell 47b was also applied to over 1400 metres of concrete construction joints, ensuring leak free joints within the structure. Xypex Thailand’s complete waterproofing solution will ensure long service life and reduced maintenance costs for the treated areas of the project.

To avoid time delays in the curing process of the concrete, Xypex Gamma Cure was applied to all treated areas.
