Park X Ekkamai

Built in one of the busiest areas in Bangkok, “Park X Ekkamai”, developed by Bhiraj Buri Group, provides parking space services as well as retail shops. Due to the confidence in Xypex Crystalline Systems, Xypex Thailand was appointed to provide the required waterproofing solutions to this project.

The whole basement areas including lean concrete slabs, retaining walls, lift pits, kingposts, together with potable and wastewater tanks, were treated with Xypex Concentrate coating system. The treated areas covered more than 1,300 m2. Following the main application, Xypex Gamma Cure was used in the curing process to ensure of no delays in the construction build time.

To further enhance the watertight structures, more than 500 metres of construction joints were sealed with Waterstop Corkjoint Superswell 47B and coupled with Xypex Concentrate as a part of the construction process.

Xypex properties have proven to be effective against the carbonation attack (from vehicle exhaust emission) as well as having the ability to self-heal static cracks up to 0.4 mm. Using Xypex Crystalline solutions, this parking facility has been protected and enhanced the durability and long service life of the structures as set out by the Asset owner.
