This high-end serviced apartment complex was built in 2015 with an aim to meet the needs of discerning Japanese clients. The 50 units are finished to a very high standard and an important element of the design was to ensure completely watertight storage structures.
These essential requirements for roof and basement potable water tanks, and wastewater tank were ensured by installing Xypex performance-based solutions.
Our concrete joint protection system, of Superswell 47b coupled with Xypex Concentrate, was employed in the casting of the tanks. Following leak testing, small defects to the tanks were repaired using our repair products. All substrate surfaces were subsequently treated with Xypex Concentrate, covering an area in excess of 2200m2, to provide the physical barrier to water permeability and additional protection against chemical attack, needed in high ph. (3-11) conditions found in wastewater tanks.
The potable water tanks further benefit from the Green Tag Certification, to the GreenRate – Level A, that Xypex coating products have achieved.
