Schutz Factory

Located in the Hemaraj Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate in Rayong, a new factory building for SCHÜTZ Thailand was constructed and completed in 2024. Initially, a cementitious base and membrane system were selected as the concrete waterproofing solution for the underground water tank.

However, due to the multiple benefits of Xypex crystalline technology and its proven performance on many previous projects, Xypex Thailand was appointed, and Admix C-1000 NF specified to replace the original protective system.

To ensure integral protection from the start, more than 730 kg of Xypex Admix C-1000 NF was added to the concrete mix at the batching plant. This promoted the formation of Xypex crystals within the concrete matrix and helped ensure project completion within the planned construction schedule.

By utilising Xypex solutions, the facility was effectively waterproofed and protected against potential leakage issues. The self-healing crack capability of Xypex further enhanced the durability and extended the service life of the structure, fully meeting the asset owner’s original requirements.
