Siamscape (Block H)
Located among the trendy/chic lifestyle venues, next to Siam Square Centre, the mixed-use tower, “Siamscape” was built as a new landmark for a lifelong learning concept in the heart of Bangkok City. The project was developed by Property Management of Chulalongkorn University, working alongside the consulting team from PPS Group PCL.
Having worked with the project consultant and the main contractor on other projects, Xypex Thailand was specified to install the waterproofing systems for the basement areas, including the lean concrete slabs and retaining walls. Over 5,600 m2 of these areas were treated with Xypex Concentrate coating system and then cured with Xypex Gamma Cure to avoid time delays in the construction schedule.
Xypex Thailand was also appointed to install water-stop in the construction joints. Over 1,700 metres of the joints were sealed with Superswell 47B coupled with Xypex Concentrate coating, to provide additional waterproofing benefits to the concrete structures.
Xypex Crystalline Technology solutions have provided several advantages including, self-healing crack capabilities (up to 0.5 mm) and the restriction of water ingress by becoming an integral part of the concrete matrix. The durability and service life of the structures were significantly enhanced, fulfilling the requirements of the Asset owner.
