Swimming pool for army tactical traning of 2nd Infantry Division Queen Sirikit’s Guard
The Royal Thai Army constructed a training swimming pool with a total area over 2,600 m2 and 10 metres deep, to be used in tactical training for the ‘SEAL’ team.
Critical to the construction was the demand for concrete durability, including waterproofing and resistance to the high chloride conditions in the area.
After a meticulous selection process, Xypex Thailand was engaged to provide the required protection using our Xypex Concentrate coating system over the cast walls and floor. The construction joints were sealed with our Superswell 47b system to further ensure the above requirement were met.
In addition to the waterproofing capacity, our Xypex performance based solutions provided protection against deterioration of the concrete, caused by the chlorine purification plants which were integral to the pool system
