TGIA and RVP Office Buildings
Two office buildings for Thai General Insurance Association and Road Accident Victims Protection Co. Ltd. were newly built on Sukhumvit Road and used as a training centre and office space.
Xypex Admix C-1000NF was entrusted with the integral waterproofing system by the project owner. More than 2,500 kilograms of Xypex Admixture was added to the concrete mix and used in the construction of the roof slabs. The properties of self-healing of cracks (< 0.5mm), steel rebar protection from rust and permanent waterproofing of concrete assets were some of the requirements, along with the reduction of maintenance costs. Additionally, the acceleration of construction scheduling was also a key factor in selecting an admixture product.
In addition to the roof slabs, around 600 m2 of the water tanks and lift pits were treated with our Xypex Concentrate coating system and 360 metres of construction joints were sealed with Corkjoint Superswell 47b.
