The Riviera Wong Amat Beach
The Riviera Wongamat is a luxury high-rise development located in one of Pattaya’s premier locations and is comprised of two tall towers that provide over 38,500 m2 of residential space.
Built near the beach front, the harsh marine environment and high chloride/sulphate nature of the ground, required solutions which could tackle all the problems associated with sea-front construction. Xypex products were selected to provide the necessary protection to the concrete structures; water tanks, wastewater tanks, swimming pools and lift pits.
As part of the construction process, our joint sealing system, Superswell 7b, was used to waterproof joints between adjacent wall/floor castings. Xypex Admix C-1000NF was used in selected areas of the cast wall and floors, whilst our Xypex Concentrate coating system was applied to 2700m2 of previously cast walls/floors. Both these performance-based solutions allow the products to become an integral part of the structure, and permanently provide protection against the high acid/high chloride conditions that were inherent to the site, whilst simultaneously waterproofing the structure.
